Red Bull, New Film and Other News

WTF?

If you are wondering that about me, then I thank you, oh loyal follower of TBM and I apologize for the dry spell. I’ve been busy this summer with assignments, for National Geographic TV, Atlanta Magazine, Inc, Climbing, AARP, Siemens, Garden & Gun, Tifosi, Red Bull and a bunch of others. But the main reason is that I’ve been working on a feature climbing film.

And I’ve been climbing. Climbing soooo much. Not.

I’ll add more to juice to TBM soon. All in due time. but for now let’s just start wrestling with the latest.

A Fine Line

I just finished a feature-length climbing film, my first, with co-director Josh Fowler, called A Fine Line. That has consumed most of my summer, and it is dropping on DVD next month, with the Premiere happening at Patagonia Atlanta on October 6. I’ll have lots of material to share about that, and meanwhile check out the trailer:

Red Bull Soundclash

A few days ago I shot Red Bull’s Soundclash in Atlanta. It was a blast. Ludacris vs Neon Trees, on opposite stages at the Georgia World Congress Center, with thousands of fans bouncing back and forth between stages. Look at em all:

Great idea, with each band covering songs of the other, playing in different styles, super high energy. Especially from Neon Trees. They are way better live than you would expect from their radio play. Their opening set knocked me the F out frankly. I went out and bought their album just to spite myself. So there.
